An architect turned restauranteur with a lifelong love of baking, brewing, and serving, Peter has deep roots in the values of heritage and food. With the support of his team, Peter is able to bring a long dream to fruition and is committed to bringing his passion for food and drink in a thoughtful and well-crafted space to La Mesa and beyond.

I am Josh. I played music for a long time, I married Lisa, and we made three rad kids. I cook, drink, and eat a lot of deliciousness. I feel it is important to make sure every child has a loving home to grow up in. I enjoy putting foods together with drinks, a good time with friends and music.

Sam Olson is a graduate of the prestigious Master Brewer program at UC Davis and former head brewer at ChuckAlek Independent Brewers. She brings incredible experience, love of beer, and heart to Fourpenny House.

David Ian (Dave) Pressly, was born and raised in the U.K. to parents Ian Leith (family from Aberdeen, Scotland & Co. Derry, Ireland) and Cesarina Teresa Maria Celia (family from Livorno, Tuscany, Italy). After exploring his music talent and his desire to become an international rock star, Dave’s journey led him to his next passion. An English expat and a veteran professional to San Diego’s premier English and Irish pub scene, his devotion to the expat Pub culture has allowed him to share his heritage with fellow exiles and curious locals alike. With over 10 years of serving experience, Matt has a true passion for the service industry. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Matt brought his strong Irish work ethic to the United States. Not afraid to do what it takes to get the job done, he began his career in conference and banqueting, with work ranging all the way from dishwashing to bartending, all over San Diego; now in a management position, Matt is excited to lead the front of house team and make Fourpenny House his new home.
